Home again

We have returned home from Christmas. A lot of laughs, great food, awesome blues music and good times with family and friends. It wouldn't be Christmas without some materialism though. H wanted one thing and that was Elephun (I call it Hella-fun when he isn't around). W can't tell us what he wants and he wants everything he sees. We got him some sweet beaded necklaces and books. He loves them both. A good friend got a great group of old friends together on Friday night. So good to see everyone. Thanks Lars for putting that together. 2008 is nearly history now. 2009 is coming in fast. Training will be turned up now. In the meantime check out some highlights of the festivities. By the pictures in the past couple of posts you would think W had a bad Christmas but don't worry he had a great one.

Peace

Demands

As stated b4 this was my first full year of racing. In the spring I wanted to get 5 races in between May and September. I ended up with 6. 5 in the Minnesota Series and 1 in the Wisconsin. Also stated b4 I am fitting these in with 2 boys and that is a full schedule. I will try to get 6 races in again this year and any more will be icing on top. Today the weather is minus 25 or so. We took the boys to see mr. claus and give him our demands. Elephun for H and books and necklaces for W ( for more about W's love of necklaces see B's blog ). Good news, S.C. told the boys they have been good this year! It's looking like a good finish for the boys on Christmas morning. I put some pictures of the usual suspects in. As you will see I am not afraid to put some bloopers in. Check out the elf in the last picture. Hope nobody gets nightmares.

Hello Genesis

I am starting this to keep track of and to direct a journey. I am 6 years into a great marriage, I have a great little boy that is about to turn 5 and another great little boy that is 1. That is a lot of happiness, joy... and work :) Last year I decided to add racing mountain bikes to that and now a lot of work is teetering on madness. But in that madness comes a lot of perspective, clarification, and reward. This blog will be a channel for ideas and energy that goes into being a family that does a lot of things including bike races.
